Meet the Walsh Family

Dacia (Pelton) Walsh grew up in the granite state of New Hampshire. A New Englander by birth, Dacia found her way to Oklahoma when she enrolled at Oral Roberts University in the fall of 1984. It was during her college years when she met her husband Tom, who was also an ORU student. Tom and Dacia were married the day after her graduation on May 7, 1989. Dacia’s career began when she accepted a job at a small private school in Tulsa. It would be only two years later when she began her teaching career with Sapulpa Public Schools. Dacia’s tenure would span twenty-eight years in the Sapulpa school system with stints teaching grades 3 – 5 and Title I Reading. Dacia retired from public education in May 2019 and continued working for Stein Mart until it closed during the COVID-19 crisis. She currently works as a relationship banker at First United Bank in Sapulpa. Dacia’s hobbies include reading, traveling, walking and running.

Caleb Walsh grew up in the shadows of Isaac’s cancer diagnosis. Although St. Jude considers Isaac’s brain cancer diagnosis (medulloblastoma) a hereditary genetic disease, Caleb was never considered high risk. He grew up as a healthy child and was an honor student in school. Caleb is a natural athlete who excelled in sports even at a young age. Caleb was the star of his little league basketball and soccer teams. During high school Caleb added track and cross country to his repertoire of sporting activities. In May 2019, Caleb graduated from Central Technology Center with a certificate in HVAC. He was hired by a large Tulsa firm specializing in commercial skyscrapers and large arena buildings. Caleb enjoys riding his dirt bike, snowboarding, fishing, sports and spending time with friends.

Isaac Walsh also graduated from Central Technology Center in May 2018 and two weeks later moved to Memphis, TN. Isaac accepted a job offer in the IT department at ALSAC St. Jude. However, Isaac would spend only two years away from Oklahoma. Isaac began the process of looking for a job in Tulsa during the quarantine of the COVID-19 crisis and moved home after being offered a job at the Tulsa Amazon Fulfillment Center. He plans to utilize Amazon’s college recruitment program to complete a college degree in IT network security. Isaac enjoys traveling, social media and hanging out with friends.
